hanzi d. is a storyteller who works in filmmaking, production, and video editing. He currently works as a freelance video editor in Bozeman, MT.
In 2016, he received his Masters in Digital Media and Storytelling from Loyola University of Chicago, while interning for the Chicago Academy of Sciences in video production. His photography and editing portfolio includes projects in real estate, ranch brokerage, non-profit and medical marketing. Some of his still images have appeared in F-Stop Magazine, as well as displayed at PH21 Gallery in Budapest. His current clients include Volta Productions and Hall and Hall.
Though hanzi’s interest in the power of stories has been lifelong, his professional attraction to the craft emerged from a handful of unorthodox life experiences: claim-staking in the mining industry, operating a guiding business in Wyoming, and living “off the grid” in the Adirondack Park of New York. He is intrinsically fascinated by the intersections of technology and environmental connection.
He is originally from Petoskey, MI.
